in a mishap in 1908. Coming up with the huge loss making the brave effort of starting life afresh, they devoted themselves to the task of educating their daughter, Bibi Harparkash Kaur. This resulted in the establishment of the Primary School in May 1909 with four students and then there was no looking back. The dedication, sincerity, hard work, commitment and the philanthropic spirit of the founder saw the Trust develop from a fledgling one to a fully grown organization under the able leadership of S. Dalbara Singh Sidhu which today, boasts of four educational institution holding aloft the lamp of knowledge.
The College came into being in 1950 and ever since its inception, it has been playing a commendable part in providing quality education to women, especially from the rural area. At present there are 1594 students on the rolls. The college is spread over an area of 18.75 acres. It has spacious buildings, well-furnished and commodious lecture halls, computer room with internet-facility and well stocked library. Since the College caters primarily to the rural areas, it provides hostel facility and has its own fleet of buses to pick and drop students coming from far-off places. The college also has large playground to provide ideal congenial and serene surroundings along with sufficient vacant land for future expansion.
