The off-stage items in the ‘Mela Dhyian Da’ were organized by the Home Science and Fashion Designing departments. The Heritage society headed by Prof. Gurinder Sandhu and Prof. Parambir Bedi organized Mehndi, Pakhi making, Crochet, Dasuti (Embroidery), Knitting, Gut Gundana and Phulkari/Bagh competitions. The Fine Arts Society headed by Prof. Swaranjit Kaur and Prof. Amardeep Kaur organized Poster making, Collage making, Clay-modeling, Still life portrait, On the Spot Painting, Rangoli and Cartooning competitions. Prizes were given to the winners.
Legal literacy clubs and Political Science department organized a Poster making competition on ‘Environmental Pollution’ on 9.9.2011. Kulmeet Kaur, Gurpreet Kaur, Harmandeep Kaur and Simranjeet Kaur secured 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th positions respectively. Madam Girish (Civil Judge) gave away the prizes.
Intra-College quiz competition was organized on 23-11-2011. The students of the Commerce department and Computer Science department of the college participated. Amul team, Nestle team, Wipro team and HCL team bagged the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th positions respectively in the Commerce group. In the Computer Science group Hotmail, Gmail, Ymail and Rediffmail secured the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th positions respectively. Trophies and certificates were given to the winners.
Inter-School quiz competition was also held on 23.11.2011, 4 schools took part in the competition. In the Computer Science group Government Senior Secondary School (Sidhwan Kalan), Swami Roop Chand Jain Senior Secondary Public School (Jagraon) and GTB National Public Senior Secondary School (Dakha) secured 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions respectively. In the Commerce group GTB National Public Senior Secondary School (Dakha), Swami Roop Chand Jain Senior Secondary Public School (Jagraon), Guru Nanak Public school (Mullanpur) got 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions respectively. In the Science group Guru Nanak Public school (Mullanpur), Swami Roop Chand Jain Senior Secondary Public School (Jagraon) and Government Girls Senior Secondary School (Jagraon) secured 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions respectively.
Fresher’s party was organized on 10.8 .2011 in the college hostel to welcome the freshers. Dr Paramjit Kaur was the chief guest. The students presented a colorful Cultural programme. Miss Anu of B.Com -I was chosen Miss Fresher. Miss Savrees and Miss Mandeep Kaur bagged the 1st runner up and the 2nd runner up title respectively. Head girl, mess incharge were selected and other committees were formed for the efficient running of the hostel.
