
A meeting of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd, was held on January 29, 2025, under the stewardship of Dr. Satinder Kaur, Principal of the College and Chairperson of IQAC.Prof.Rupa Kaur Rai, extended a cordial welcome to the esteemed panel, which included Dr. Mohinder Kaur Grewal, NAAC Assessor and Ex-Principal, Government College for Girls, Ludhiana, as the External Expert for IQAC, Dr. Amandeep Kaur Bakshi, Principal of Eastwood School, Mullanpur as Employer representative and Alumnus Gaganjot Kaur. IQAC Coordinator, Prof. Rupa Kaur Rai, commenced the session with a thorough review of the resolutions and progress from the previous IQAC meeting. She led a comprehensive discussion on the agenda points, focusing on strategies to further enhance the college’s academic standards and institutional growth. Dr. Mohinder Kaur highlighted the importance of peer teaching and recommended innovative methods like thematic narratives, seminars, interactive sessions, group discussions, and buddy groups to enhance collaborative learning.Dr. Amandeep Kaur Bakshi proposed introducing a digital awareness initiative to enhance technological literacy among students and the community. She also stressed the importance of providing hands-on training in computer hardware to equip students with essential technical skills and improve their practical knowledge.Alumnus Gaganjot Kaur, along with student representatives Jeewanjot Kaur and Aanchal, shared valuable insights, encouraging active student engagement and suggesting ways for institutional improvement. Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur highlighted the significance of integrating the Indian Knowledge System into the curriculum while advocating for women’s equality and empowerment. The session concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Madam Principal who expressed her gratitude to all IQAC members and experts for their valuable insights and active participation. The meeting highlighted the institution's unwavering commitment to academic excellence, quality enhancement, fostering an inclusive and value-based learning environment
