
Under the aegis of Shri Guru Hargobind Ujjagar Hari Trust and the able guidance of Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd organized a one-week long Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "Shifting Paradigm in Higher Education in the Light of NEP-2020" from May 26 to June 02, 2025 as part of the institution's 75th anniversary celebrations. The program commenced on May 26, 2025 with an inaugural session featuring Dr. Yashpal Azad, Associate Professor of Psychology at Eternal University, Baru Sahib as the resource person. He was warmly welcomed by Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur who underscored the importance of such programs in equipping faculty with the skills and mindset required to meet the evolving educational landscape outlined in NEP-2020. In his interactive session, Dr. Yashpal Azad spoke on “Managing Stress at the Workplace,” highlighting types of stress, differences between stress, depression and the importance of their early identification. He shared practical strategies to build resilience and promote emotional well-being. Through engaging discussions and hands-on activities, he actively involved the faculty, encouraging them to reflect on their personal experiences and develop individualized strategies for stress management. The stage proceedings and formal vote of thanks were conducted by IQAC Coordinator Prof. Roopa Kaur Rai. This inaugural session set a thoughtful and dynamic tone for the rest of the week-long FDP which aims to prepare educators for the transformative journey envisioned under NEP-2020.
