KHALSA COLLEGE FOR WOMEN SIDHWAN KHURD PLAYERS SHINE AT 'KHEDAN WATAN PUNJAB DIYAN'

To be competitive in the professional world, one must balance academics with sports. Sports complete a person's personality. Dr. Amandeep Kaur, Principal (Addl. Charge), Khalsa College for Women Sidhwan Khurd, said this while congratulating the college's participants and winners in the recently concluded Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan games. It was a proud moment, as the college athletes earned a total of 8 gold and 2 silver medals at the Block and District levels.

Muskan Gill of B.A- I brought laurels by winning gold medal in Long Jump and Jaspreet Kaur of B.A-I won Silver Medal in Long Jump at the Block level. The College Kabaddi (N.S) team qualified for District level. Sumanpreet Kaur of B.A -I won gold medal in 100 m and Simranjeet Kaur of B.A -I won Silver medal in 100 m. In 400 m race Simrajeet Kaur and Palwinder Kaur of B.A -I won silver medal at the Block level. The Boxers of the college, Jashapreet Kaur, Muskan Gill, Bani and Shivani (B.A-1st year) won gold medal at District Level and qualified for State Level. In Kick Boxing Muskan Gill of B.A-1st year won gold medal at District level.

S.Harmail Singh Sidhu, Senior Member, SGHGU Hari Trust Sidhwan Khurd applauded the winners and motivated the players to continue working hard. Dr. Amandeep Kaur, Principal (Addl. Charge) of the college congratulated the players and appreciated the efforts of Dr. Paramdeep Singh, Head of the Department of Physical Education for these outstanding achievements.
