Under the able guidance of Principal, [Addl.Charge] Dr. Amandeep Kaur, Red Ribbon Club and PG department of History of Khalsa College for Women Sidhwan Khurd celebrated International Women’s Day. On this occasion, an Essay writing competition on the theme ‘Female Foeticide/Save Girl Child’ was organised. Total 25 students participated in this competition. Winners were awarded with cash prizes and all the participants were given Appreciation certificates. Hansika of B.Com Ist bagged first prize of Rs. 700, Muskan of B.A.IInd bagged second prize of Rs. 500, Garima of B.Com Ist bagged third prize of Rs.300 and Consolation prize was grabbed by Subhangi of B. Sc. IInd. The college principal lauded the efforts of students. She also motivated students to act as social messengers and spread awareness among all. She concluded by saying, “Here's to the women who are breaking barriers, challenging norms, and making the world a better place. Your resilience is truly inspiring. Happy International Women's Day.”
