National Teachers’ Day was celebrated at Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd on September 5, 2024 to honour the educators and acknowledge their contribution in Nation Building. Dr. Amandeep Kaur, Principal (Addl. Charge) graced the event as Chief Guest and was greeted with a sapling. The programme commenced with Shabad Recital. Harjot Kaur of B.Com Second Year shared her views and heart felt emotions on this occasion. A PPT dedicated to this historic day was presented by Mehakpreet Kaur of B.Com Second Year and Sukhpreet Kaur of B.Sc. Third Year. Navrose Jhanji of B.A.BEd First Year eulogized the noble profession of teaching through her poetical recitation. Shubhangi Kumari of B.Sc. Second Year and Gomsi of B.Com First Year delivered speeches on the significance of the role of a teacher. Jaspinder Kaur of M.A.( English) First Year and her group entertained the audience with group songs. A hilarious skit title ‘ Mobile Hai Toh Liife Hai’ was presented . Dr. Amandeep Kaur wished the teachers on this special day. She said that the role of a teacher is indispensable in shaping the personality of students and supporting them in realizing their potential. She shared that Dr. Radhakrishnan and Dr. Abdul Kalam also wanted to be remembered as teachers to posterity. She said that all other occupations emanate from this profession. She thanked the students for organizing the function. Garima Sharma of B.Com Second Year and Tamanna of B.A.BEd First Year conducted the stage effectively. Dr. Gagandeep Dharni, Convener of the programme proposed formal vote of thanks. Refreshment was served to the staff.
