Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd, Ludhiana showcased remarkable talent and determination at65thZonal Youth and Heritage Festival organised by Panjab University Chandigarh, Moga-Ferozepur Zone - 3 hosted by Baba Kundan Singh College, Muhar (Firozpur). 34 Colleges participated in this event. 137 students of our institution competed in 59 categories. Under the visionary guidance of SGHGU Hari Trust and Principal Dr. Amandeep Kaur (Addn. Charge) the students of the college secured 24 prizes. Among the notable achievements, Manmehakpreet Kaur (BA II) and Arashdeep Kaur (BCA III) won first positions in Poem Recitation and Rangoli respectively. The second positions in Story Writing and Photography secured by Gagandeep Kaur (BA B.Ed II) and Pawanpreet Kaur (BA II) respectively. Third positions were grabbed by Sonia (BA II), Rajandeep Kaur (BA B.Ed. II), Ravneet Kaur (BCA I), Parmjit Kaur ( B.Sc. II), Sukhdeep Kaur (BA III) and Ramanpreet Kaur (B.Com III) in Knitting, Pranda Making, Rangoli, On the Spot Painting, Non - Percussion and Geet respectively. The college teams also earned second positions in Folk dance (Luddi) and Mime while the third positions were awarded to One Act Play, Kawishri, Indian orchestra and Folk Orchestra. Gungun (BA II), Jasleen Kaur (BCA II),Husanpreetkaur(M.Com I) and Jaspinder Kaur (MA I) stood out by winning the individual second positions in Mime, Skit, Folk dance (Luddi) and Group Shabad. Husanpreetkaur (M.Com I), Jaspreetkaur (BA III), Anjali (BA II) and Ramanpreet Kaur (B.Com III) also won individual third positions in Giddha, Indian Orchestra, Folk Orchestra and Group Song respectively.The college Principal Dr. Amandeep Kaur(Addn. Charge) expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the participants, their parents and teacher incharges for their relentless efforts.
