Khalsa College for Women organized Awareness rally at village Sidhwan Khurd

As per the instructions of the Assistant Director, Department of Youth Services, Ludhiana, an awareness rally on Environment Conservation, Drug Awareness and HIV/AIDS was successfully conducted by Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd in Sidhwan Khurd Village on January 16, 2024. The rally aimed to educate the community on crucial environmental and social issues while inspiring action for a healthier and sustainable future. The College esteemed Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur inaugurated the rally, delivering an inspiring message that emphasized the power of collective action and the vital role of youth in fostering environmental and social change. A total of 155 students, along with 5 teachers, actively participated in the rally. Students carried creative posters with powerful messages about environmental protection, the dangers of drug addiction, and preventive measures for HIV/AIDS. As the rally proceeded through the village, participants engaged with residents, initiating meaningful conversations and spreading awareness. Villagers, especially the youth, appreciated the initiative and pledged their support for these causes. The rally organizers honored Village Sarpanch, S. Maninder Singh, with a sapling and a memento, acknowledging his efforts in supporting social and environmental initiatives. The occasion was graced by the presence of Panchayat members. The rally was coordinated under the guidance of the NSS and Eco Club incharges, Dr. Inderjit Kaur and Dr. Amandeep Kaur, along with the Red Ribbon Club incharges, Mrs. Hardeep Kaur and Mr. Gurjeet Singh. The initiative concluded with an encouraging response from the community, reflecting the impact of collaborative efforts in addressing vital social and environmental issues.
