Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd commemorates National Voter’s Day and Republic Day

Under the aegis of Shri Guru Hargobind Ujagar Hari Trust, the students of Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd, celebrated National Voter’s Day and Republic Day with enthusiasm and a sense of responsibility. The event was organized collaboratively by the NSS, Red Ribbon Club and the Department of Social Sciences on 25-01-25. As part of the celebrations and in the spirit of the upcoming Republic Day, the program began with the hoisting of the Indian flag by Madam Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur, accompanied by staff members and students. The flag hoisting was a proud moment that evoked feelings of unity and national pride, as the gathering sang the national anthem in unison. Following this, a pledge-taking ceremony, where students and faculty reaffirmed their commitment to voting responsibly and upholding democratic values. The pledge was collectively taken by all participants with great sincerity. Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur addressed the gathering, emphasized the importance of ethical conduct in all aspects of life and urged everyone to adhere to the principle of “accept no bribes, give no bribes.” She highlighted that integrity and fairness are essential for building a strong and honest society and encouraged students to actively promote these values in their communities. The event beautifully combined the essence of Republic Day and National Voter’s Day, inspiring students to actively uphold democratic values, moral ethics, and national pride. It concluded with a collective promise to contribute positively to the progress of the nation.
