
Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd organized a vibrant fresher’s party, "Fiesta Fresh" to extend a warm welcome to the newly admitted students. The event was marked by enthusiasm, joy and camaraderie. The occasion commenced with a heartfelt welcome for Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur symbolized by a sapling presentation as a gesture of respect and growth. She was warmly welcomed by our senior faculty members, Dr. Navdip Kaur, Dr. Gagandeep Dharni, Dr. Inderjit Kaur, and Prof. Rupa Kaur Rai who collectively extended their regards. Students showcased their talents through a mesmerizing array of performances, including solo and group dances, a soulful group song and lively musical renditions. The event featured a series of engaging and fun-filled games designed especially for the freshers, adding excitement and fostering a spirit of camaraderie among the students. A highlight of the event was the Miss Fresher contest, where contestants participated in a question-answer round to display their confidence and wit. A distinguished panel of judges, including Mrs. Hardeep Kaur, Dr. Amandeep Kaur, Mrs. Jaspreet Kaur and Mrs. Harwinder Kaur evaluated the participants. The winners of the Miss Fresher contest were announced amidst great excitement and cheer. The title of Miss Fresher was awarded to Miss Harmanjot Kaur of M.Com I for her poise and confidence. Anshdeep Kaur of BA I secured the position of First Runner-up while Navroj Jhanji of BA B.Ed. I was declared the Second Runner-up. In addition to these honors, special titles were also awarded to recognize student’s grace and elegance. Best Smile was shared by Muskaan Gaba of B.Sc. B.Ed I and Husanpreet Kaur of M.Com I. The Best Dress title was awarded to Gurpreet Kaur of B.Com I for her elegant attire and graceful presence. In a heart warming gesture, Ashnoor Kamboj of B.Sc. B.Ed I expressed gratitude to the seniors for their guidance and support. By addressing the students, Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur encouraged them to pursue excellence and leave no stone unturned in shaping their future. She emphasized the institution’s commitment to academic and personal growth. The event was gracefully hosted by Garima and Taranpreet Kaur, ensuring a seamless and engaging flow of the program. The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Convenor of the event Dr. Gagandeep Dharni, bringing the celebration to a delightful end.
