
NSS and Red Ribbon Club of Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd organized a TB Awareness Program as part of its ongoing Community Outreach Initiative on 25-02-2025. A group of 40 volunteers visited Mata Ram Kaur Charitable Hospital, run by SGHGU Hari Trust in the village Sidhwan Khurd. Dr. B.V. Padmaja, a distinguished medical expert from Mata Ram Kaur Charitable Hospital conducted an informative session, providing insights into TB symptoms, modes of transmission, diagnostic tests and available treatments under the National TB Elimination Program (NTEP). The event was further strengthened by the presence of Village Sarpanch S. Manjinder Singh. Along with the students, villagers also actively participated and gaining awareness about TB and its prevention. Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur commended the volunteers for their dedication to community service. This outreach effort played a vital role in raising TB awareness and supporting the national mission of "TB Mukt Bharat."
