
Under the able guidance of Shri Guru Hargobind Ujjagar Hari Trust, the Department of Computer Science and Applications of Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd organized a One-day International Seminar on March 1, 2025 titled "Embracing the Future: Challenges and Opportunities in an AI-Driven World". The resource person for the seminar was Dr. Ravinder Singh, a distinguished professional of Civil Services UK, the Head of the Digital and System Team. The event began with a gracious welcome by Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur, who honored the guests with bouquets and spoke on the importance of integrating AI knowledge into education. Mrs. Jaspreet Kaur provided a detailed introduction of the resource person, outlining his expertise in AI. The resource person Dr. Ravinder Singh delivered an insightful talk on bias in AI systems and emphasized that AI can only function effectively if machine learning models are properly trained. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Harmail Singh Sidhu, an esteemed member of the Trust who addressed the gathering on the importance of technology and the learning embedded in Guru Granth Sahib. Adding to the significance of the occasion, Dr. Ravinder Singh’s sister, Sardarni Manjeet Kaur also attended the seminar, making it a special moment for the speaker and attendees alike. Dr. Ramanpreet Kaur efficiently conducted the stage proceedings and ensuring a seamless flow of events. As a token of appreciation, the chief guest was honored with a memento and a sapling. The event wrapped up with a vote of thanks by Vice Principal Dr. Navdip Kaur, appreciating the chief guest, faculty and audience for their active involvement. The resource person Dr. Ravinder Singh also planted an Anjeer tree sapling under the Program of Eco Club of the college to promote environmental sustainability. The Eco Club incharges Dr. Inderjit Kaur and Dr. Amandeep Kaur were present to support the initiative.
