
Under the patronage of Shri Guru Hargobind Ujjagar Hari Trust, the Science Department of Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd celebrated International Mathematics Day on March 13, 2025 as part of the college's 75th-anniversary celebrations. The event aimed to highlight the significance of mathematics in various fields under the theme "Mathematics, Art and Creativity." The program commenced with a welcome address by Prof. Gagandeep Aulakh followed by the screening of a documentary, "The Story of Mathematics: From Unity to Infinity," which explored the evolution of mathematical concepts and their impact on human progress. A question-answer session engaged students, testing their mathematical knowledge, and the best performers were honored with rewards for their excellence. Madam Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur delivered an inspiring concluding address, emphasizing mathematics as the language of the universe and highlighting Aryabhata’s remarkable contributions to the field. Vice Principal Dr. Navdip Kaur also graced the occasion with her presence. Prof. Rajni conducted the stage proceedings, ensuring the smooth execution of the event. A total of 65 students actively participated and making the celebration both engaging and insightful.
