
Under the aegis of SGHGU Hari Trust, Sidhwan Khurd and the able guidance of the College Principal, Dr Satinder Kaur, Social Science Forum celebrated World Water Day on 21 March, 2025. The college is celebrating 75 years of excellence in education. World water Day is celebrated every year on 22 March and the theme of the year 2025 is “Glacier Preservation”. The theme for the world water Day highlights the critical role of glaciers in sustaining life and the water cycle and urging actions to address the challenges of their melting. Mrs Hardeep Kaur welcomed the college principal. The students were showed video describing the water challenges country is facing and the solutions needed to address the critical issue. Dr Jasdeep Kaur shared her views on water availability, scarcity and water saving measures and also showed her video describing the water situation of the Ludhiana city. The college principal addressed the students and encourage them to save water and said that saving water is our fundamental duty. She also expressed that we can save the environment by doing small actions as well. Dr Navdip Kaur senior faculty member, proposed formal vote of thanks. A total of 62 students participated in the function and assured to save water for future generations.
