Under the aegis of SGHGU Hari Trust, Sidhwan Khurd and the able guidance of the College Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur, Legal Literacy Club and IPR cell organized Extension Lecture on Importance ofLegal Literacy for Women on April 25, 2025. This event was held as part of the college ongoing 75 years of excellence celebrations. Advocate Moon Jhanji, DirectorWomenCell Punjab(WPS) was the resource person.Dr. Satinder Kaur welcomed the guest and emphasized the significance of Legal rights in our society. Advocate Moon Jhanji awared the students about Legal literacy and how to empower women by equipping them with knowledge of their rights, legal procedures and how to access justice. This knowledge is crucial for women to protect themselves from various forms of injustice and to actively participate in shaping their lives. The stage was gracefully conducted by Prof. Ashish Kumar. Dr. Navdip Kaur, Vice Principal of the college proposed the formal vote of thanks. This event was collectively organized by Prof. Ashish Kumar & Prof. Harpreet Kaur (Legal Literacy Club) and Dr.Gagandeep Dharni & Prof. Hardeep Kaur (IPR Cell).The function was concluded successfully by presenting an award of honour to the resource person. 59 students attended the lecture.
