Under the auspices of Shri Guru Hargobind Ujagar Hari Trust and the able guidance of Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur, Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd organized a massive recruitment drive for NCC cadets on August 12, 2025. The event witnessed remarkable enthusiasm among first-year. The college has a total of 53 NCC seats, out of which 25 cadets will be recruited for admission in the first year. It is noteworthy that about 40 students arrived with full zeal and enthusiasm for the recruitment process. The recruitment team from 5 Punjab Girls Battalion, Moga led by Commanding Officer Colonel Sunil Kumar, Rasaldar Major S. Sukhmandar Singh, Havaldar Arun Shah and Havaldar (Nursing Assistant) S.K Mishra specially visited the college for the selection drive. The process began with a physical examination during which the students were assessed for height, weight and physical fitness. This was followed by a written examination making the selection based on both written and practical evaluation. NCC Caretaker Dr. Balwinder Kaur was present with the students throughout the recruitment process. Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur addressed the participants, highlighting the importance of NCC in building discipline, leadership and patriotism. She motivated the students to work hard with dedication, aiming to achieve a successful position in life with high morale and a strong sense of service to the nation. The recruitment drive concluded successfully, marking another step in the college’s ongoing commitment to fostering disciplined and service-oriented youth.
