Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd organized One day NSS Camp in Collaboration with KVK Ludhiana (Samrala)

Under the auspices of Shri Guru Hargobind Ujjagar Hari Trust and the able guidance of Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur, a one-day NSS Camp was organized on September 12, 2025 in collaboration with the experts of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ludhiana (Samrala).The camp witnessed the presence of eminent scientists who shared their expertise with the NSS volunteers. Dr. Veerpartap Singh (Horticulturist) gave a detailed demonstration on grafting techniques and modern cultivation practices of fruit trees. He also highlighted the role of precision farming, protected cultivation and integrated nutrient management in enhancing crop productivity. Dr. Amanpreet Singh (Agronomist) sensitized the students about the importance of Self-Help Groups, the adoption of high-yielding hybrid varieties, crop diversification and the various training and extension programs conducted by KVK to empower farmers and rural youth. As part of the camp activities, a plantation drive was carried out in the college campus to promote greenery and environmental sustainability. Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur appreciated the efforts of the resource persons and the NSS unit for organizing such a meaningful program. She also motivated the students to be active contributors in the nation-building process. The event was graced by the presence of Vice Principal Dr. Navdip Kaur. NSS Programme Officers Dr. Inderjit Kaur and Dr. Amandeep Kaur along with Prof. Gurjeet Singh encouraged the volunteers to actively participate and contribute towards the success of the camp. A total of 35 NSS volunteers enthusiastically participated in the camp making the event both educational and impactful.
