Under the aegis of Shri Guru Hargobind Ujagar Hari Trust and with the able guidance of Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur, the fourth day of the NSS Seven-Day Special Camp at Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd was marked by an inspiring guest lecture held on September 23, 2025. The resource person for the day was Dr. Sandeep Kataria, Principal, GTB National College, Dakha. The resource person was warmly welcomed with a sapling as a token of respect and gratitude. A formal introduction and welcome address were presented by Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur, setting a graceful tone for the session. In his address, Dr. Kataria highlighted both the positive and negative impacts of digitalization, drawing attention to its relevance in today’s world. By sharing live examples from his personal experiences, he made the lecture highly engaging and relatable. He also shared the inspiring journey of Karoley Taxcous, highlighting his perseverance, dedication and never-give-up spirit that ultimately led to his Olympic achievements. Furthermore, he emphasized the role of youth in contributing positively to society, choosing the path of righteousness and working towards a drug-free society. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Vice Principal Dr. Navdip Kaur. The stage proceedings were gracefully conducted by NSS Programme Officer Dr. Inderjit Kaur, while the arrangements for the lecture were efficiently coordinated by Programme Officer Dr. Amandeep Kaur and Prof. Gurjeet Singh. The lecture left a profound impact on the volunteers, encouraging them to adopt digital literacy wisely, contribute meaningfully to society and uphold the spirit of NSS.
