On November, 26, 2025 350th Martyrdom anniversary of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji was celebrated with devotion and religious fervour at Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd, a renowned institution educating rural girls of the region for more than seven decades under the aegis of SGHGU. It was a historic occasion as it also marks the 350th Martyrdom anniverasy of Shri Giru Teg Bahdur Ji also remembered with the epithet 'Shrishti di Chadar' for his unprecedented, supreme sacrifice unparalleled in the records of human history along with Bhai Jati Das Ji, Bhai Mati Das Ji and Bhai Dayala Ji who never dithered to give up their lives for a noble cause. It was a special event as the commemoration of this event coincides with the Platinum jubilee year of the establishment of our premier institution. The programme commenced with the assembling of the congregation comprising of faculty and students in the campus gurdwara. Recitation of the holy path of Shri Sukhmani Sahib Ji and Shlok Mahalla Nauva, followed by chanting of the Anand Sahib connected the audience to the pious words of Shri Guru Granth Sahib and immersed the sangat in a divine hue. The mesmerizing Shabad Kirtan transported everyone to a spiritual world Ardas was performed. The Hukam Nama was declared and the congregation acknowledged its sanctimonious import. Dr. Satinder Kaur, Principal of the college addressed the gathering and enlightened all about the life , sacrifice and teachings of Guru Ji suggesting respect for all religions. She exhorted them to act in accordance with the illustrious way demonstrated by Shri Guru, Granth Sahib Ji. S. Manraj Singh Sidhwan , highlighted the significance of the feeling of servicr and inculcating the virtue of benevolence. He elaborated upon the martyrdom of Guruji by stressing its unique nature and contemporary relevance. Principals of schools and colleges under the patronage of Sidhwan Group of Institutions graced the occasion to pay their homage. Everyone partook Langar of tea arranged by the Transport Department of the Trust.
