Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd, a renowned institution running under the patronage of Shri Guru Hargobind Ujagar Hari Trust, hosted the Panjab University Zonal Skill in Teaching and On-the-Spot Preparation of Teaching Aids Competitions on November 28, 2025 as part of its 75 years of academic excellence. The occasion was graced by honorable trust members S. Pritam Singh Johal (Secretary) and S. Harmail Singh, along with distinguished educationists Principal Dr. Sandeep Kataria, GTB National College, Dakha, Principal Dr. Amandeep Kaur, GHG Harparkash College of Education, Sidhwan Khurd and Principal Dr. Pargat Singh Garcha GHG Khalsa College of Education, Gurusar Sadhar. The event was supervised by the Observer, Dr. Pawan Kumar, Principal of A.S. College of Education, Khanna. A total of 08 colleges and 32 students participated enthusiastically. In Skill in Teaching of Pedagogy of Computer Science, first position was secured by Mamta Kumari, DM College of Education, Moga; second by Muskan Gupta, Malwa Central College of Education, Ludhiana and third by Khushdeep Kaur, GHG Harparkash College of Education, Sidhwan Khurd. In Pedagogy of Mathematics, Jasmeen Sidhu, Malwa Central College of Education, Ludhiana stood first; Jobanpreet Kaur, GHG Khalsa College of Education, Gurusar Sadhar stood second; Ripanpreet Kaur, Sukhdeva Krishna College for Girls, Ghali Kalan, Moga bagged third and a consolation prize was clinched by Sonia, Partap College of Education, Ludhiana. In Pedagogy of Science, the first, second and third positions were won by Muskan Kalra, GHG Khalsa College of Education Gurusar Sadhar; Kunika Sharma, GHG Harparkash College of Education, Sidhwan Khurd and Mahima Sharma Partap College of Education, Ludhiana, respectively. While consolation prize got by Parth Sharma, DM College of Education, Moga. In Pedagogy of Home Science, the second prize was secured by Prabhleen Kaur, Malwa Central College of Education, Ludhiana. In the On-the-Spot Preparation of Teaching Aids of Pedagogy of Science, the first prize went to Ripanpreet Kaur, Sukhdeva Krishna College for Girls, Ghali Kalan, Moga; second to Jobanpreet Kaur, GHG Khalsa College of Education, Gurusar Sadhar; third to Amardeep Kaur, DM College of Education, Moga and consolation to Balwinder Kaur, GHG Harparkash College of Education, Sidhwan Khurd. In Pedagogy of Home Science, Diksha, Malwa College of Education, Moga secured second position, while in Pedagogy of Computer Science, the first, second and third prizes were bagged by Simarjit Kaur, GHG Khalsa College of Education, Gurusar Sadhar; Tamanna Monga, Sukhdeva Krishna College for Girls, Ghali Kalan, Moga and Gurpreet Kaur, DM College of Education, Moga. In Pedagogy of Mathematics, first, second and third positions were won by Mandeep Kaur, GHG Harparkash College of Education, Sidhwan Khurd; Keifreen Kaur, DM College of Education, Moga and Ravnoor Kaur, Malwa College of Education, Ludhiana with a consolation prize to Gurleen Kaur from GHG Khalsa College of Education, Gurusar Sadhar. The judges from various institutions evaluated the competitions with fairness and were honoured for their valuable contribution. The Principals from the visiting institutions were also warmly felicitated on the occasion. Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur addressed the gathering, appreciating the enthusiastic participation of all colleges and highlighting that such platforms play a crucial role in strengthening pedagogical skills. Secretary of the Trust, S. Pritam Singh Johal, in his address, underscored the importance of these events in fostering professional excellence and strong moral values among aspiring teachers. The stage was efficiently conducted by Dr. Manpreet Kaur, ensuring the smooth flow of the programme, while Dr. Inderjit Kaur served as the co-organiser of the event, contributing dedicatedly to its successful execution. Dr. Gagandeep Dharni, the organiser of the event, proposed the formal vote of thanks. The event concluded respectfully with the National Anthem.
