AIDS Awareness Rally Organized at Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd

Under the aegis of Shri Guru Hargobind Ujagar Hari Trust and the able guidance of Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur, the NSS Units and Red Ribbon Club of Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd, organized an AIDS Awareness Rally on December 01, 2025 at Sidhwan Khurd village to observe World AIDS Day. As per the directions of the Director, Youth Services, Ludhiana, the rally was conducted to create awareness among the villagers about HIV/AIDS, its prevention, early diagnosis and the need to eliminate social stigma. Honorable Manager, Dr. G. S. Grewal and Trust Member S. Harmail Singh Sidhu also joined the rally and encouraged the students with their motivating presence. Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur appreciated the initiative and motivated the volunteers to continue participating in community welfare activities. NSS Programme Officers Dr. Inderjit Kaur and Dr. Amandeep Kaur guided the volunteers and emphasized the importance of spreading authentic information. Red Ribbon Club Incharges Prof. Hardeep Kaur and Prof. Gurjeet Singh remained actively involved and ensured the effective execution of the awareness campaign. By carrying placards and raising slogans, the students sensitized the villagers about safe practices, early testing and the need to create a compassionate, stigma-free environment. A total of 60 students participated enthusiastically, making the rally a meaningful and impactful outreach programme.
