As per the directions of the Department of Youth Services, Punjab, the NSS Units and Department of Political Science of Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd celebrated the 16th National Voter’s Day on January 24, 2026 on the theme “My India, My Vote.” The Programme was organised with the objective of creating awareness among students about the importance of voting and strengthening democratic values. A voter’s pledge ceremony was conducted in which students pledged to uphold democratic principles, exercise their voting rights responsibly and encourage others to participate in the electoral process. An awareness rally was also organized where students participated enthusiastically. On this occasion, the worthy Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur motivated the students by emphasizing that voting is not only a constitutional right but also a moral duty of every citizen. She highlighted the role of youth in shaping the future of the nation through informed and ethical voting. The programme concluded successfully with the active participation of 56 students, reinforcing awareness about electoral rights and civic responsibilities among the community.
