Under the aegis of Shri Guru Hargobind Ujagar Hari Trust and able guidance of Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur, the IQAC of Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd organized a Workshop on First Aid, CPR and Health Care — Career Counselling on February 17, 2026. The workshop was conducted by a team from Tech Mahindra Foundation under Project SMARTH. The Programme commenced with a formal welcome of the resource persons by Vice Principal Dr. Navdip Kaur, who presented floral saplings as a token of respect. Mr. Veerdeep Singh Sran, Centre Manager, Tech Mahindra Foundation introduced the organization’s vision of generating employment through education under Project SMARTH. He elaborated on various training centres operating under the foundation and highlighted skill-based courses such as HIS (Healthcare Information Services), SMART (Skills for Market Training) and HFOBE (Healthcare Front office and Billing Executive) . He also provided valuable information about career opportunities in the healthcare sector and explained the usefulness of digital platforms like the Healthcare Portal and the Atingi Portal for skill development and employment readiness. The technical training session was conducted by Mr. Lakhwinder Singh (HFOBE Trainer) and Ms. Dixita (GDA Trainer) along with members of the marketing team, Mr. Vijay Kumar and Mr. Mukesh Kumar. They provided hands-on practical training in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and demonstrated essential First Aid techniques, enabling students to respond effectively in emergency situations. The formal vote of thanks was delivered by IQAC Coordinator Prof. Roopa Kaur Rai who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the resource persons and participants for making the workshop highly informative and successful.
