International Seminar on the theme ' Artificial Intelligence Enabled Quantum Systems: Future Perspectives ' sponsored by CDC, Panjab University , Chandigarh was organized by the Science Department of Khalsa College for Women Sidhwan Khurd on the occasion of National Science Day under the aegis of SGHGU Hari Trust and able guidance of Principal, Dr. Satinder Kaur. Dr. Ravi Inder Singh, Dean, College Development Council , PU, Chandigarh adorned the event as Chief Guest. The key note speaker Dr. Ravinder Singh, Head of the Digital and System Team, Government Digital and Data Function , UK was the Guest of Honour. The key note address was delivered by Dr. Vinod Karar, Chief Scientist and Professor , CSIR- CRRI, New Delhi. A galaxy of eminent speakers graced this confluence of minds including Dr. Mehr Singh Sidhu, Scientist, Nanotechnology, Directorate of Research , PAU, Ludhiana, Dr. Mohinder Kaur Grewal, Principal ( Retd.) , Govt. Girls College, Ludhiana and Dr. Sandeep Kataria, Principal, Guru Teg Bahadur College, Dakha who enlightened the audience. The programme commenced with invoking Almighty's blessings through Shabad Recital. This was followed by the ceremonial lamp lighting. The distinguished guests were accorded a green greeting with saplings. S. Jarnail Singh Dhillon , Honourable Member, SGHGU Hari Trust formally welcomed the distinguished personalities, delegates and participants. Dr. Ravi Inder Singh addressed the audience and said that AI is not a technology but a civilizational shift as it has penetrated all fields of life. He dwelt upon the ethical concerns of AI and inspired the students to become skilled thinkers and entrepreneurs. Dr. Vinod Karar highlighted the relevance and use of AI in various fields for enhancing human capabilities. He stressed the need to develop indigenous technology for self reliance. Dr. Ravinder Singh highlighted the applications of Quantum Computing and how it can dramatically improve the functioning of technology in future while also curbing data theft. Dr. Sandeep Kataria shared interesting anecdotes and information related to the daily impact of AI. He emphasized the need for updating ourselves to compete with evolving scientific inventions. Dr. Mehr Singh Sidhu shared the relevance and applicability of various AI tools like Perplexity, Deepseek, Gamma etc. Dr. Mohinder Kaur Grewal told about the scope of AI in Science and Technology and recited a poem on the unprecedented effects and apprehensions of AI. Paper Presentations touching upon the multiple aspects of the topic were conducted in hybrid mode. The dignitaries were felicitated with lohis and momentoes. A Power Point Presentation competition for students was organized and the winners were awarded. S. Pritam Johal , Secretary SGHGU Hari Trust proposed the formal vote of thanks. Dr. G. S Grewal , Manager and S. Harmail Singh, Senior Member respectively of SGHGU Hari Trust enriched the programme with their benign presence. Dr. Amandeep Kaur, Mrs. Daljit Kaur and Ms. Sandeep Kaur Principals of sister institutions under the management attended the event. The function concluded with singing of National Anthem. Dr. Manpreet Kaur conducted the proceedings effectively.
