The launch ceremony of Skill 2 Market initiative
was organized by Dean College Development Council,
Panjab University Chandigarh on May 4, 2026. The students of
Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd set up a stall of
handmade items including peerihs, pakhis, chhiku, parandas,
naalas, hair clips, paintings, crochet items, hand embroidered
hangings, sketches and other articles created by them which
provided market exposure as they sold the items and got an
opportunity to display their talent and entrepreneurship skills.
Principal, Dr. Satinder Kaur praised the efforts of and students and
incharges Prof. Tirth Kaur and Prof. Avneet Kaur and said that
these endeavors will make the learners job creators instead of job
seekers. She also appreciated Prof. Roopa Kaur Rai for conducting
stage on this occasion and also in the Seminar on “Challenges in
Implementation of National Education Policy (NEP 2020)”

University Chandigarh.
