It is a matter of immense pride that the students of Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd
brought laurels to the institution by securing prizes at the Youth Leadership Camp 2026,
organized by the Department of Youth Welfare, Panjab University, Chandigarh from 1st July to
7th July, 2026. The camp witnessed the participation of 92 students from various affiliated
colleges of Panjab University, who actively took part in a wide range of competitions and
leadership activities. Demonstrating exceptional talent and confidence, Harpreet Kaur of BCA-
III secured Third Position in the Open Mic Competition, while Jasleen Kaur of BCA-III was
honoured with the title of Best Stage Performer. Arshpreet Kaur and Simran Kaur of B.A.-III
also participated enthusiastically and were awarded certificates for their commendable
performance. The camp also featured an expert lecture by Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur, who was
invited as a Resource Person on 3rd July, 2026. She delivered an insightful lecture on “Moral
Values”, inspiring students to uphold ethical values, responsible citizenship and effective
leadership. Dr. Inderjit Kaur, Head, Department of Punjabi served as the Deputy Administrative
Officer during the camp and contributed significantly to its smooth coordination and successful
conduct. The Managemnt and Principal of the college congratulated the students on their
outstanding achievements and appreciated their dedication and commitment. They also
encouraged students to continue participating in such platforms that nurture leadership qualities,
confidence, teamwork and overall personality development.
