Renowned for promoting women’s education and women’s empowerment, Khalsa
College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd has earned a distinguished reputation among the
leading educational institutions of North India. Five students of B.A. Part-II—Gagandeep
Kaur, Prabhjot Kaur, Asha Rani, Sukhmanpreet Kaur, and Prabhjot Kaur—brought
laurels to the college by enthusiastically participating in the Gurmat Education Camp
organized by Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib, from 22 to 27
June 2026, in commemoration of the 350th Gurta Gaddi Divas of Sri Guru Gobind Singh
Ji.
During the six-days camp, the students actively participated in a wide range of
educational, spiritual and personality development activities, including Gurbani Santhya,
Simran, Gurmat discourses, Sikh history, painting, handicrafts, sports, spoken English
and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The camp significantly enhanced their self-confidence,
leadership qualities and moral values while deepening their understanding of Sikh
philosophy and culture.
On this occasion, the Principal of the college, Dr. Satinder Kaur, congratulated
the students and remarked, “The true purpose of education is not confined to academic
achievement alone; it also lies in nurturing noble values, strong character, and a spirit of
selfless service. Gurmat education camps play a vital role in the holistic development of
students by fostering these essential qualities.”
She further stated that Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd remains
committed to providing its students with excellent opportunities for academic, spiritual
and personal growth. The institution will continue to encourage students to participate in
such enriching programmes in the future.
Dr. Satinder Kaur also highly appreciated the dedicated efforts and sincere
commitment of the teacher coordinators, Dr. Geetanjali Arora and Prof. Suman Rani, for
their exemplary guidance and devoted service in making the students’ participation
successful.
