Under the aegis of Shri Guru Hargobind UjagarHari Trust and the able guidance of
Principal Dr.SatinderKaur, theIQACof Khalsa College for Women, SidhwanKhurd
organized an awareness session to acquaint the faculty with quality enhancement
practices and the significance of NAAC accreditation. The resource person for the
session was Dr.Parvinder Singh, former Dean collegesand Controller of
Examinations, Panjab University, Chandigarhand former Vice Chancellor,
RayatBahra University, Mohali. Dr. Ajay Sharma, Principal, GGDSD College,
Sector 32-C, Chandigarh, also graced the occasion with his esteemed presence.
The dignitaries were warmly welcomed by Principal Dr.SatinderKaur by
presenting them withsaplings.Dr.Parvinder Singh delivered an insightful lecture on
the various criteria and modules of NAAC accreditation. He emphasized the
pivotal role of the IQAC in maintaining academic quality through regular IQAC
meetings, systematic planning, documentation and effective implementation of
quality initiatives. He highlighted the importance of introducing new and skill-
oriented courses,university positions, organizing Faculty Development
Programmes (FDPs), promoting community outreach activities, encouraging sports
and co-curricular achievements.The session proved highly informative and
interactive, providing the faculty members with valuable insights into quality
assurance and continuous institutional development. The programme was also
attended by the S. Charanjit Singh Dhillon,Secretary of Lions Club, Jagraonand
journalist of Punjabi Tribune. Mementos were presented to the distinguished guests
as a token of gratitude and appreciation for their invaluable contribution to the
programme.
