On September 1, 2026, under the aegis of Shri Guru HargobindUjagarHari Trust, SidhwanKhurd, and
the able guidance of Dr.Navdeep Kaur (Officiating Principal),Khalsa College for Women,
SidhwanKhurd, organised a massive recruitment drive for NCC cadets. The event witnessed
remarkable enthusiasm and active participation among the first-year classes. The college has a total
of 53 NCC seats, out of which 28 cadets are to be selected from the first-year students. Around 40
students arrived with full zeal and enthusiasm to participate in the recruitment process. The drive
was conducted by the recruitment team from 5 Punjab Girls Battalion NCC, Moga. SBD Mukhtiar
Ahmed, Havaldar Dinesh Kumar, and Nayak AnkushPatiyal appeared on behalf of 5 PB Bn Girls NCC,
Moga, and conducted the recruitment and selection process. Dr.Ramanpreet Kaur, CTO, and
Dr.Balwinder Kaur were present during this event and encouraged the students to participate
actively and make the most of the opportunities offered through NCC. This endeavour provided
students with an opportunity to demonstrate their discipline, confidence, enthusiasm and leadership
potential. The College Principal appreciated the keen interest and active participation of the
students and encouraged them to embrace the values of discipline, leadership, teamwork and
service through NCC.
