Under the aegis of Shri Guru Hargobind Ujagar Hari Trust and the able guidance of Principal
Dr. Satinder Kaur, the NSS Units and Red Ribbon Club of Khalsa College for Women,
Sidhwan Khurd organised an awareness rally on September 22, 2025, in compliance with the
directions of the National Human Rights and Anti Corruption Force (NHRACF), Chandigarh.
The rally formed part of the awareness campaign on “Say No to Drugs” and “Nasha Mukt Yuva
Abhiyan”, aimed at sensitizing the youth and the community about the serious consequences of
drug abuse and promoting the vision of a healthy and drug free society. The rally commenced
from the college campus with the enthusiastic participation of NSS volunteers and members of
the Red Ribbon Club. The students carried placards displaying impactful messages and raised
slogans such as “Say No to Drugs,” “Nasha Mukt Yuva,” “Drugs Destroy Lives,” and “Choose
Life, Not Drugs.” Through these messages, the participants appealed to the youth and the
community to stay away from drugs and contribute towards creating a drug free environment.
Principal Dr Satinder Kaur appreciated the efforts of the NSS Units and Red Ribbon Club in
organising the awareness initiative. She emphasised the need for collective efforts to prevent
drug abuse and encouraged students to become responsible citizens and ambassadors of a
healthy and drug free society. The rally was coordinated by NSS Programme Officers Dr
Inderjit Kaur and Dr Amandeep Kaur, along with Red Ribbon Club Incharges Prof Hardeep
Kaur and Prof Gurjeet Singh. The activity provided an effective platform for engaging the youth
in the fight against substance abuse and reinforcing the message that prevention, awareness and
community participation are essential for addressing the menace of drugs.
