Under the aegis of Shri Guru Hargobind Ujagar Hari Trust and the able guidance of Principal
Dr Satinder Kaur, the NSS Units of Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd celebrated
NSS Day on 24 September 2026 with enthusiasm and dedication. The programme commenced
with the NSS Pledge, reaffirming the volunteers’ commitment to the ideals of social service,
community welfare and nation building. NSS volunteer Ashnoor Kamboj shared her views on
the importance of NSS highlighting the values of selfless service, empathy and social
responsibility. NSS volunteer Jashanpreet Kaur presented a poem based on the spirit and ideals
of NSS, beautifully expressing the significance of service and contribution towards society.
This was followed by a presentation by Ekaspreet Kaur, who shared her NSS camp journey,
highlighting her experiences, learnings and memorable moments. Principal Dr Satinder Kaur
spoke on the significance of NSS and appreciated the dedicated participation of the volunteers
in various social and community-oriented activities. She encouraged them to continue working
with sincerity, compassion and a spirit of service and to contribute meaningfully towards
society. NSS Programme Officers Dr Inderjit Kaur and Dr Amandeep Kaur guided and
motivated the volunteers and encouraged them to uphold the NSS motto, “Not Me But You,” in
their actions and everyday lives. The celebration concluded with a renewed sense of
commitment towards service, social responsibility, leadership and nation building, reflecting the
true spirit of NSS.
