On December 1, 2021, Red Ribbon Club and Department of Science observed World AIDS Day. A programme was organized to raise awareness of AIDS caused by the spread of HIV infection. Ravneet Kaur, a student of B.Sc-I, Medical presented a PPT on AIDS showing different aspects of the disease. Students and faculty members of Science Department wore red sweaters, turban and dupattas. They also made the symbol of Red Ribbon. Red Ribbon Club incharges Dr. Iqbaljit Kaur and Dr. Amandeep Kaur conversed with students on ending inequalities to eradicate AIDS. 28 Science students and 07 faculty members joined the occasion.
On March 22, 2022, Red Ribbon Club organized a slogan writing competition on the theme, “Shaheed-e-Azam S. Bhagat Singh” in which 14 students participated.
Session 2020-2021
On October 10, 2020, students and teachers of Red Cross Society took the pledge “Keep Clapping for the Volunteers, Staff and Everyone responding to COVID-19”. 3 teachers and 7 students took part in this event.
On December 16, 2020, Red Ribbon Club organized Intra-College, “Poster Making and Slogan Writing competitions on the theme COVID-19”. The college Principal congratulated Convener of Red Ribbon Club, Dr. Iqbaljit Kaur, and students. Total 15 students participated in this event. The results of Poster Making are: Ramandeep Kaur (B.Sc.-III, Med) secured 1st position. Harshdeep Kaur (B.Sc-I, Med) and Jotika Goel (BAB.Ed-I) secured 2nd position. Amanjot Kaur (B.Com-II) and Manpreet Kaur (B.Com-II) secured 3rd position. In Slogan Writing Sukhpreet Kaur (B.Sc-I, NM), Manpreet Kaur (B.Com-II) and Simranpreet Kaur (B.Sc-III) secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
